Episode) daughter, Alice Carlwell. After she is jailed, she is then liberated by a mysterious henchman of Mr. E. It is found out that Carlswell never had a child. It is then revealed the whole ploy was that 'Alice May' can give the gang the Yearbook, saying it was very well hid. She then asks why she was assigned that before she receives no answers and leaves. Meanwhile, the gang finds out that there was a previous Mystery Inc. (consisting of Brad Chiles, Ricky Owens, Cassidy Williams, Judy Reeves, and their mascot, Professor Pericles) and that the two that were in the locket and newspaper may have been the 'Fred' and 'Daphne' of the group. It appears that part of the mystery may have to do with the disappearances of the 4 former teen detectives.
